The house was built on the eastern end of a row building in the Green Neighborhood of Tel Aviv. The original structure, designed in the 1960s, consisted of seven adjacent units arranged in a row. Its facades combined silicate brickwork with exposed concrete beams elements that, over time, nearly disappeared as many of the units were altered.

Our goal as designers was to preserve the building’s original character while reinterpreting it with a contemporary approach. We chose to use the same core materials, concrete beams and brick cladding, applied in a modern adaptation.

The overall envelope dimensions, including roof height, remained unchanged as part of the building’s shared structure, ensuring a design that could be replicated in the other units.

The house now spans three floors and includes a newly added basement, elevator, and, most notably, a swimming pool, enhancing the living experience. Due to the limited size of the plot and to allow flexible outdoor use, the pool is fitted with a movable floor system.
